The Story of House of Bharat: Comfort, Culture, Quality
Welcome to House of Bharat, where comfort meets culture and quality speaks for itself. My name is Deepak Paripati, and I've had the privilege of calling Canada home for the last six years. But my journey to creating House of Bharat began much earlier, back in 2019, when I started selling small Ganesha diyas on Facebook Marketplace. The traction I gained was immediate and overwhelming, and it gave me the confidence to reach out to Indian grocery stores across the Greater Toronto Area. In my first year, I sold over 500 diyas, a milestone that sparked a deeper passion in me.
By the second year, I partnered with a large distributor, expanding to over 500 stores across Canada and selling more than 5,000 diyas. As the years went on, my collection grew, and I began selling Ganesha idols and bedsheets, always through marketplace platforms. This success, however, was more than just numbers—it was a sign of something bigger: a community of people in Canada who longed for a connection to their roots, to the rich tradition and craftsmanship of Bharat.
This realization led me to launch House of Bharat—an online marketplace dedicated to offering products exclusively made in Bharat. Our products are crafted by rural artisans in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, each piece holding the heart and soul of Indian craftsmanship. I am passionate about supporting these artisans, helping them find a global market, and sharing their artistry with Canadians and Indians in Canada.
House of Bharat isn’t just a business—it's a movement to connect cultures, celebrate tradition, and build a community. What started as a small initiative has grown into something I’m deeply proud of, and my mission is to continue expanding, bringing not only home decor but also other hand-crafted home products from Bharat to Canada.
Thank you for being a part of this journey, and for supporting the artisans who make it all possible.
